Day 23, Saturday, 15 June, Cedar Vue Campground, Lake Mcconaughy toNorth Platte

A slog, maybe my worst form of the tour. The day started with rolling hills and spectacular views of the lake. Then we rode about 11 miles on lovely county  roads. Once we turned southeast on US 30, however, we faced a strong wind in our face. US 30 is flat and straight. Our view was generally fields to the left and three sets of train tracks to our right.

We stayed at Cody Park in North Platte. The park has camping, a small amusement park, a swimming pool, and a sort of a zoo. The campsites are beside the North Platte River.

North Platte is famous for being the home of Wild Bill Cody, the originator of the rodeo.

Louis's computer said we rode 73.O miles. Mine fritzed.

We entered Central Time Zone.
